About the authors

The book is written with love and deep respect. The authors of the book are from the United Kingdom. Chris and Craig’s writing partnership began in 1990, when they compiled ‘The Complete Michael Jackson Solo Discography 1972-90’ for Adrian Grant’s official fan magazine, Off the Wall. Chris also did much of the research for the first edition of Adrian’s best selling book, Michael Jackson – The Visual Documentary.

 Chris launched his own fanzine Jackson in 1995, with Craig as contributor, proof reader and eventual co-editor (Jackson is no longer published). Chris and Craig’s first two books, Michael Jackson – The Early Years and Michael Jackson – The Solo Years, were published in 2002 and 2003, respectively. Jacksons Number Ones followed later in 2003. The first edition of Michael Jackson: For The Record, was published in March 2007.

After some time passed since the tragic event of June 2009 and after recovering from this untimely loss I wanted  Russian speaking readers to learn more about the scope of Michael Jackson’s oeuvre, about this unique performer, singer, composer – massively talented, the one, like no other - something that is at times relegated to the background when we think about Michael Jackson.
